CFRP & Structural Plate Bonding
The bonding of steel and Carbon fibre plates to external surfaces of structures to either restore or increase load bearing capacity is widely accepted as a technically sound, cost effective means of structural enhancement.
RESITECH is very active in this field, and looks forward to further involvement in the future bridge upgrading programmes. The company has the distinction of having undertaken one of the most prestigious and demanding plate bonding projects to date, which involved the lifting and fixing of ten steel cantilever units weighing over 1.5 tonnes each.
